Founded in 1990 MELCO Engraving Inc. is a provider of texturing services for the mold making industry. Since opening it's doors in 1990, MELCO has grown to become one of the largest texturing houses in the world and a leader in the automotive markets. MELCO textures approximately 60% of all domestic automobiles on the road, with customers such as Daimler Chrylser, Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Originally a 5000 square feet building with three employees MELCO now consumes over 25,000 square feet and employs over forty people on two shifts.

MELCO has moved into other areas closely associated with the current operations. Electroless nickel plating, mold benching & polishing and texture simulation have been added as services MELCO Engraving offers at the Rochester Hills, Michigan facility. Well over 2500 molds are processed from MELCO's  Rochester Hills facility alone.
 

 

Currently  MELCO  has  joint technical agreements  with organizations in  Japan,  Germany  and  Brazil.  These relationships enable MELCO to maintain a presence in areas outside of the United States.
